Prenatal Pilates
I began training with Sandee when I was 12 weeks pregnant. I trained twice a week up until I delivered my baby boy. I am convinced that training with Sandee gave me more energy throughout my pregnancy. I got many compliments from co-workers and patients of mine as well as friends and family members who could not believe how great I looked and felt. I didn't even buy a pair of maternity pants until I was 28 weeks along!

Sandee was very knowledgeable and found ways for me to modify the exercises as my pregnancy progressed and still get an amazing workout. I am also convinced that I was able to have a safe and healthy delivery due to the fact that I was in great shape. The labor nurses told me that I was an "effective pusher" due to my core strength which was a result of my Pilates training with Sandee.

While all of this is great and I recommend it to anyone who is pregnant, the real results came after I delivered my son, Maxwell. Within six weeks I was back in my old jeans again. At that six week point I got clearance from my Physician to go back to exercising and I started training again with Sandee. This time I added in one class week of Spin/Pilates in place of one of my regular Pilates classes. By the time my son was three months old I was weighing less than my pre-pregnancy weight and wearing one size smaller. I have since cancelled my regular gym membership and will never go back to lifting weights again. I love that we don't do the same workouts over and over, but I continue to see results. Doing Pilates with Sandee has made me a believer in all things Pilates has to offer. She creates a warm comfortable atmosphere for people of all strengths and abilities. And the best part is, I am back in a bikini again. – Alexis Stucki

I know it was a challenge some days, but it was worth it!

Sandee is the third pilates trainer I have worked with and I will never
go anywhere else.  I would always hit a plateau with my other instructors, but with Sandee, I am always acheiving better results, week after week.  
 
When me and my husband decided to add to our family, I figured it would take awhile since my first son took over 5 years, but it took 2 months.  I really believe that  pilates helped my body to get pregnant again.  
 
I did pilates twice a week through my pregnancy and stopped 2 weeks before my due date because moving was becoming very
difficult with my belly that big and that low.  Sandee always modified the exercise for me so I was not left doing nothing in the group classes.  I know it was a challenge some days, but it was worth it! Even though I gained over 50lbs, I was still toned and looked great! 
   
When it came time to give birth, pilates did nothing for the pain (but
that is what epidurals are for), but it did help me push my baby boy.   With my first son, I pushed for almost 3 hours.  With this one, I pushed a total of 3 times and I attribute that to strong core muscles from doing pilates.
   
Thanks to pilates, my body also sprang back into shape very quick.  My stomach was mostly flat after 2 weeks and I was back to my
pre-pregnancy weight in 3 months... all with doing NO exercising.  I really believe that if I did not do pilates while I was pregnant, I would have had to work much harder to get back in shape.
   
I finally started back with Sandee after 5 1/2 months.  All my
measurement were all back to normal except my thighs.  Also, after one class with Sandee, I was able to touch the floor again... something that took me months to do before.  My body remembered!!

Post Natal Pilates
I started Pilates the second month of my pregnancy. I trained with Sandee 2 times a week till I was 35 weeks along. I don't feel I would have had such a healthy Pregnancy without Sandee Lea and Pilates. Sandee is very knowledgeable about which positions I needed to avoid as I became further along in my pregnancy I received compliments daily from my husband, staff members at my school, close friends at the gym, and even strangers at the supermarket. They would tell me how great and fit I looked being pregnant.

My arms and legs have leaned out and I have a more balanced look to my body. I only gained17 pounds!!! During my pregnancy I was able to wear most of my regular pants with just a little help around the waist.

In December I delivered a healthy baby boy, Gavin!! I can't rave enough about how Pilates has changed my life as far as health and well being. - Cara Garcia

I have trained with Sandee for several years and there was never any doubt that I would continue my training when I found out I was pregnant. The prenatal pilates not only kept me feeling great but looking great too!

Sandee is extremely knowledgeable. What I enjoyed most is that even with the modification I felt as though I was getting a great workout....nothing felt watered down. In fact Sande just found different ways to kick my pregnant bootie. And after my son Jacob arrived I was back wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes in only two weeks.!

I am stronger, healthier, and happier!

I started training with Sandee when I was four months pregnant with my second child.  I was a self-proclaimed couch potato.  I never liked to exercise and never found an exercise I could stick with until I met Sandee.  She is always encouraging and motivating.  She has a wealth of exercises that she would switch up during our sessions.  She not only helped me stay fit, but corrected my posture and reduced my back pain from the pregnancy.  I ended up gaining 25 pounds from the pregnancy and lost all of it in just 10 months after I had the baby.  This was such a huge difference compared to my first pregnancy when I gained 40 pounds and took 3 years to lose the baby weight.  I have continued to train with Sandee who is now also training my mom.  I am stronger, healthier, and happier because of Sandee’s knowledge and passion in Pilates.  I cannot recommend her enough! - Erica
